History was made when Brisbane’s Suncorp Stadium hosted the NRL grand final on October 3, 2021. The premiership decider was held outside of Sydney due to the COVID-19 outbreak in NSW. This was good news for musos in Brisbane including a fantastic orchestra assembled by RUE Arts and the Australian Session Orchestra. Soloists included Kate Miller-Heidke, Ian Moss and William Barton. I was lucky enough to be nominated as conductor. Whilst I’m more of an AFL fan the night was truly spectacular and the musical offerings, arranged by George Ellis went down a treat.
